Can anyone recommend a - preferably - passively cooled, mini-PC for use as a linux home automation system and storage server?

Should fit the following bill:

Hardware:

  • ssd or nvme internal storage (50gb+)
  • gigabit ethernet
  • wifi 5 or 6 compatible
  • ability to hook up an external drive via eSATA or USB3
  • at least 8gb RAM
  • working BIOS / ACPI settings (it should turn back on after power failure)
  • no graphics card required / IGP is fine

Performance:

  • comparable or better performance than the ancient Intel Atom 330 (I'm also fine with ARM based SoC systems)
  • should be able to handle multiple active docker containers (hass-core, nodered, mosquitto, plex, nextcloud, nginx, …)

Misc:

  • available in Germany

Before anyone suggests a RasPI: no, hey disqualified a long time ago.
